Jennifer is a highly experienced teacher with UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). She is a graduate of the University of Wolverhampton as well as the University of Hull where she obtained her PGCE, and has extensive international teaching experience with children of EYFS age.
Elen, Welsh, is a graduate in Primary Education with a Bachelors of Education (honors) and her UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with which she's worked around the world teaching primary, but has spent the past few years working in Early Years education in Morocco.
Jade is a dual South African/British national. She is a Psychology and Sociology graduate of The University of Cape Town and was awarded her PGCE in 2020. Jade has been teaching in Morocco for over a year now and has joined BASM as our Year 2 teacher.
Samuel is a qualified UK teacher with background knowledge in STEM and SEN education. Having obtained his PGCE in primary with Mathematics (QTS) from Manchester Metropolitan University, he has spent the past years teaching primary and young learners in the UK.
Natasha, although British, has spent the last 20 years in Marrakech. She opened and ran a fully equipped homeschool (yrs 6-13) for many years, specialising in children making the transition from Morocco to UK based schools. All the children passed into their first choice schools either by 11+, 13+ exam or interview. With a diverse background in marketing, fashion and education, Natasha accomplished her teacher training with high distinction.
Rob is from Manchester and will be running heading up the Physical Education and extra-curricular Sports programme. He is a graduate of the University of Cumbria and was awarded QTS in 2019 from University of Lancashire. He has a great deal of experience in teaching abroad and not only enjoys encouraging children to play sports, but to learn about the science behind the sports they play.
Camille is from Colorado USA, is a qualified teacher, and an experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). However, she joins us to teach Secondary Humanities and Computer Science, and is exceptionally well qualified to do so having an MSc in Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland and also and MEd from Colorado State University.
Kate was born and raised in the UK, she has over two decades of teaching experience in international schools. She joins us from Auckland Institute of Studies in New Zealand and graduated from Open University in collaboration with Durham University with a BSc in Social Science including Humanities, Education, Sociology, Psychology and Environmental sciences. She obtained her PGCE from Open University in 1990.
Gary is from Northern Ireland and joins us in the maths department. He has taught across the age ranges and is an experienced GCSE teacher. He graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Honors) in Primary from Stranmillis University College in 2020
Sabah comes from France and obtained her Bachelors of Education in Paris in 2004 as well as an Early Years Teaching Qualification from Massachusetts College of Wellesley in 2016.
She has taught French in several schools internationally including the USA, France, and Canada
Sibylle is a UK trained artist from some of the most prestigious art schools in the country and a lover of Morocco, where she has lived for the last 15 years. She is an active community member of various art exhibitions and activities around Marrakech.
Alexa Richardson is a woodwind specialist and music teacher from the UK. She studied flute, clarinet and saxophone at the University of Huddersfield and completed her Masters of Music at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. For the past 10 years she has been teaching private students and is trained in music education from the British Kodály Academy, which focuses on singing and the Solfege method at an early age. She has experience in production and is a regular presenter on the online platform NTS, as well as an assistant producer for Radio 3 music programming on the BBC.
