I would like to extend a warm welcome to The British Academy School Marrakech where we offer a broad, balanced curriculum with a pupil-centred approach based upon the National Curriculum for England. We are the first British International School in Morocco to be recognised by the UK Government.
Our doors opened for the first time in September 2019, where we welcomed an eclectic mix of children. Our inaugural cohort consisted of children between 2 and 12 years of age, whom are representative of over twelve nationalities, thus making us a truly international school! All of our teachers are fully qualified UK teachers and native English speakers, hailing from Scotland, England and Wales.
At times schools are seen as places where pupils learn, teachers teach and reports are produced at the end of the academic year. And yet, of course, an education is so much more. We aim to spark curiosity and creativity within our pupils and teachers, which motivates and drives teaching and learning and does so by ensuring we not only cater to the academic requirements of school life; but also to the physical and personal development of everyone within our care.
Indeed we are a school that is full of optimism about its future and providing the very best opportunities for our pupils. We are a school that aims to ensure our pupils succeed academically as they develop, grow and mature into young adults. Thus allowing our graduates to become life long learners and global citizens. Whilst we have high academic expectations and ambitions for our pupils, we also know that for them to succeed, we need to provide a caring, supportive and challenging environment in which they can grow and flourish.
We want to truly educate our pupils so that a graduate of The British Academy School Marrakech is a highly educated, well-rounded human being, capable of making the most of what life has to offer.
I very much look forward to welcoming you to our school and indeed to all that the forthcoming school year has to offer.
With best wishes,
